Perse or Perseis was the daughter of Oceanus and Tethys. Perse was married to the sun god Helius or Helios (Sol), and she several children by him – Aeetes, Perses, Circe, and Pasiphae.
Perse was the goddess of magic and witchcraft, and her children were all gifted in sorcery, including her granddaughter Medea.
