Of Dwarves and Elves

Of Dwarves and Elves has a list of names of strange beings that appeared in Norse myths and legends - beings such as dwarves, elves and spirits.

These wondrous beings were transmitted into later Germanic folklore and fairy tales. From there they filled the world of fantasy novels such as J. J. R. Tolkien's great masterpiece, The Lord of the Rings.

Note that I have removed all the dwarf characters from Minor Norse Characters to this new page. The Valkyries have been moved to a new page of their own.
